Essence of Art in Virtual Worlds

Art in virtual worlds is an evolving matter that is continuously being defined by emerging new media artists. To help new media artists, sLiterary provides both commissions and key locales for showcasing new artwork. Short-term workspace is also provided via the Studio Sandbox in Primtings.

• sLiterary Art & Writing Gallery: A large museum of art and fiction relating to Second Life.


• SL Artists.NET: A web gallery containing a selection of memorable art derived from Second Life.


• Primtings: A museum of 3D interpretations of famous 2D and RL artwork; these virtual pieces are paintings made of prims, dubbed “primtings.”


• Primtings Directory: An online directory of 3d paintings.


• Studio Sandbox: A sim-sized sandbox 700m in the air, providing short-term studio space and storage of builds.
